Toileting Advice

Toilet Training Support for Parents

At Woodlands School, we understand that toilet training can sometimes be challenging, and every child or young person develops at their own pace. We are here to offer support, guidance, and practical advice to help your child achieve their full continence potential.

Our Nursing Team can:

  • Provide advice on common continence and toileting difficulties
  • Offer strategies and practical support for toilet training at home and school
  • Carry out a continence assessment where appropriate
  • Recommend or provide suitable containment products if needed
  • Work alongside parents, carers, and school staff to promote consistency and independence

We believe that all children and young people, regardless of disability or additional needs, should be supported and encouraged to develop toileting skills in a positive, respectful, and individualised way.

If you would like advice or would like to discuss your child or young person’s specific needs, please feel free to contact us.

We are here to support you.
