Mental Health Awareness Week 2023
The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 was ‘anxiety’. Everyone experiences periods of anxiety but in some situations, these negative feelings can become over whelming.
Our school activities centred around ‘Mindfulness in nature’ as a way of counteracting anxiety. We read a storybook about trees, went outside for a scavenger hunt, tried some nature themed breathing exercises and used our senses in a ‘5 4 3 2 1 Grounding exercise’.
