Support for Individual Pupils
At Woodlands, pupils are supported with their Wellbeing across the school day, throughout all our activities. PSHE lessons focus on relationships with others and our own emotions. Less structured times of the school day, such as lunchtime, offer opportunities for pupils to build friendships outside their class and learn how to manage interactions with a range of people.
Sometimes, a pupil may need some more individualised support. We offer a range of resources to enable pupils to encounter and discuss challenging topics.
- We have an extensive collection of PSHE storybooks which offer an accessible way for our pupils to engage with difficult issues.
- Woodlands provide Social Story booklets on some common concerns for our pupils, written by school.
- Individualised support has been provided for pupils where a particular need has been identified.
Please talk to your child’s class teacher is you would like any more information about the support that we offer.
